Event Sponsorship

Honda of America is committed to strengthening the Ohio communities where our associates call home. This can only be done if we take an active role in supporting members of our community in their pursuit of their own dreams. That is why we are proud to support local nonprofit organizations through event sponsorships that align with our areas of philanthropic focus including:

  • Fostering positive advancements in the areas of environment, safety, cultural diversity and youth education
  • Responding to the unique social needs and priorities of our communities
  • Promoting cultural enrichment of our communities

We accept requests for nonprofit event sponsorships throughout the year. However, we encourage nonprofits to submit requests at least 90 days prior to an event.

Sponsorship Application – Step 1 (Eligibility)

Before you apply, please review the following eligibility requirements:

  • Requesting organization must serve communities in the state of Ohio. Particular preference is given to events within the following Ohio counties: Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Delaware, Franklin, Hardin, Logan, Madison, Marion, Mercer, Miami, Shelby and Union
  • Honda does not provide event sponsorship to the following:
    • Organizations based outside of the state of Ohio
    • Individuals
    • Political candidates, committees or organizations
    • Lobbying organizations and memberships
    • Fundraisers such as telethons or walkathons
    • Fraternal, labor, social or veteran’s organizations
    • Churches and religious or sectarian organizations, unless engaged in a significant project benefiting the entire community

Sponsorship Application – Step 2 (Process and Timing)

Honda of America only accepts nonprofit event sponsorship requests online.

We accept requests for nonprofit event sponsorships throughout the year. However, we encourage nonprofits to submit requests at least 90 days prior to an event. In the event a request is received with less than 90 days before an event, Honda cannot assure that the request will be considered in a timely manner.

Please ensure that all sections of the nonprofit event sponsorship application have been completed. Honda will not consider incomplete applications or applications submitted outside the online process.

Honda evaluates sponsorships throughout the year and you will receive notice of our decision as soon as possible after submission.

Sponsorship Application – Step 3 (Applying for a Sponsorship)

After you submit a completed application, you’ll receive an email from Honda of America confirming your sponsorship submission. If you don’t receive this email in response to your submission, please email us at grants@ham.honda.com to verify that your application was received.

Honda will evaluate sponsorship applications throughout the year and you will receive notice of our decision as soon as possible after submission.
