SUPPLEMENTAL WORKFORCE PROGRAM (SWP)

(Part-time production assignments working two days per week)
The Supplemental Workforce Program at Honda of America Mfg., Inc. offers an opportunity to work two days per week while gaining valuable manufacturing experience. A major objective of this workforce is to meet Honda of America Mfg., Inc.‘s part-time contingent staffing needs. This program is managed and administered by Adecco Employment Services for the Marysville and East Liberty Automobile Plants, and Spherion administers the program for the Anna Engine Plant. All Supplemental Workforce associates are employees of the agencies participating in the program.

SWP Qualifications

  • Must be age 18 or older

  • Must complete one-day paid orientation prior to beginning an assignment
  • Must complete a two-week paid orientation and training process on a full-time basis prior to beginning a part-time assignment
  • Must work overtime as needed on scheduled days
  • Priority may be given to direct relatives of Honda of America Mfg., Inc. associates for job assignment placement

ADMINISTRATIVE/CLERICAL PROGRAM

(Full-time office support assignments)
The Administrative/Clerical Program provides exciting opportunities for contingent associates to gain valuable administrative skills while on assignment at Honda of America Mfg., Inc. A major program objective is to recruit skilled, experienced and quality-conscious associates to meet Honda of America Mfg., Inc.‘s contingent staffing needs. This program is managed and administered by Adecco Employment Services. All Administrative/Clerical contingent associates are employees of the agencies participating in the program.

    Manufacturing Career Program (MCP)

    The Manufacturing Career Program (MCP) offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable manufacturing experience and training at Honda of America Mfg., Inc. Individuals are scheduled for 40 hrs per week, for 3,900-hour assignment (approximately 2 years). This program is managed and administered by Adecco Employment Services. All Manufacturing Career Program associates are employees of the agencies participating in this program.

    Manufacturing Service Program (MSP)

    The Manufacturing Service Program (MSP) at Honda of America Mfg., Inc. (HAM) is an exceptional and rewarding career opportunity. Adecco designed this high level program with attractive pay and benefits. A major objective of this workforce is to retain reliable and quality minded contingent production associates to meet HAM’s staffing needs. Adecco manages and administers this program, and all participants are exclusive employees of Adecco. Adecco only accepts the most qualified candidates into this program.

    Criteria for MSP Position Transitioning from an MCP Position

    • Requires completion of 1950 regular hours worked in the MCP program
    • Receive satisfactory interview results
    • Receive satisfactory results on most recent performance review
    • Flexibility to change plant, department, shift and job

    Criteria for MSP Position for an Outside Candidate

    • Requires a minimum of (2) years full time manufacturing experience within the last (5) years of employment
    • Receive satisfactory interview results
    • Flexibility to change plant, department, shift and job
